Maalich Farm Limited has successfully implemented a holistic and integrated farming approach, synergizing the cultivation of crops, livestock rearing, and fodder production.
Increased agricultural productivity and access to markets contribute to food security within the community. Communities can rely on locally grown produce, reducing dependency on external food sources.
Maalich Farm Ltd was established in 2017 but was formally registered in 2019 under the Companies Act (Act (CAP 486) and has been fully operational for 4 years. Founded and led by passionate women, Maalich Farm Ltd’s objective is to serve as an example and model changing the local mindset towards farming as an accompaniment to traditional pastoral practices.
The farm blends tradition with innovation, sustainability with profitability and a desire to empower the neighboring pastoral community. Maalich Farm Ltd currently has farms in Moliti area 6.5km from Kinna towards kulamawe, Isiolo County (access to about 997 acres), and Marafa in Kilifi (access to about 800 acres).
